Boys Hostel
 
The College has a boys hostel with 3 different houses viz. Jehlum, Chenab and Tawi for 100 students. In the process of admission to the hostel, preference is given to the meritorious students, candidates coming form the far- flung areas and those belonging to SC/ST, backward classes and backward areas. The hostel is under the supervision of a Warden who is a senior staff member of the College Students desiring admission to the Hostel must apply on a proper application form which can be taken form the hostel warden. The applications shall be properly scrutinized and the candidate shall be interviewed by the Hostel Admission Committee. Selected candidates shall have to pay the dues in full before their admission to the hostel.

There is a well-furnished Common room for the use of the hosteliers. It is equipped with various indoor games. The Common Room Secretary is in-charge of the various necessary equipment for the upkeep of the same. No one is allowed to remove any article from the common room. The hostel also has a Reading room and provides Internet and first aid facility to the boarders. The Hostel Mess is managed by the Mess Committee comprising of students selected by the hosteliers. Meals are served only in the ‘Dining Hall’.
 
Hostel Rules
a) The hostel gates are open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m in summer and from 06:00 a.m to 09:00 p.m. in winter. Gates shall not be open during the night except in the case of an emergency. No boarder shall be allowed to move out after the attendance is taken at night.
b) Application for leave shall be submitted to the Warden in person, if possible. The boarders who are absent without prior permission are liable to be expelled from the hostel. Any boarder staying away for the whole night without permission shall be fined Rs.100/- for the first offence.
c) If the offence is repeated  second time fine shall be doubled. In case he repeats the offence  third time, he is liable to face disciplinary action which can include expulsion from the hostel.
d) No guests /relatives are allowed to reside in the hostel premises. Visitors are not allowed to enter the hostel rooms. They are allowed only in the visitor’s lounge.
e) The hosteliers are responsible for the safety of their own belongings. During vacation and when on long leave they shall remove all personal property from the premises of the hostel. In case of disobedience of rules, fine may be imposed and such articles may be confiscated.
f) The hostel authority shall not be responsible for the loss or theft of any cash or valuables kept in the room of the boarders.
g) Religious and political meetings are not allowed inside the boarding house. No boarder is allowed to observe any religious ceremony even in his own room which may injure the feelings of the other boarders.
h) No vehicle is allowed within the premises of the hostel.
i) Playing outdoor games in the hostel quadrangle is prohibited
j) Ragging in the hostel is strictly prohibited. Any student of the hostel indulging in ragging is liable to be expelled from the hostel.
k) If a hostelier is asked to vacate the hostel room on disciplinary or administrative grounds,he shall have to do so immediately, failing which the warden shall have the right to break/open the room and remove his belongings.
l) Any refundable dues shall be released only after all due payments have been made by a boarder. The claim for all such refunds should be made within one year from the date of leaving the hostel.
m) Resident students will be required to give receipt for items of the furniture and other things issued to them. They will be, responsible for any damage to the doors, the window glass panes, the furniture, the fittings and any other hostel property in the room. While leaving the hostel at the end of the term every student should handover the charge of furniture of his room to the hostel warden.
n) Mess charge must be cleared by 10th of each month failing which the hostelier will have to pay a fine of Rs. 10/-per day.
o) The College authorities reserve the right to alter, amend and modify any of the existing rules without prior notice. Decision of the principal/Hostel Committee in all matters shall be final and binding upon the hosteliers.

A Girls hostel is also under construction.
